Our flagship project
In 1958, our club decided Roma’s older people deserved somewhere to live. Nearly seventy years later, we’re still running it.
Pinaroo Roma Inc. is a not-for-profit residential aged care facility on Bowen Street — started by this club in 1958, and directed by this club to this day. Today it’s worth well over $20 million.

The Engine Room opening, 1 April 2026.
After a land swap with St John’s School, the club inherited the old school canteen on the Pinaroo site and revived it into The Engine Room — our own clubhouse. Opened 1 April 2026 by the Hon. Ann Leahy MP, Minister for Local Government and Water and Minister for Fire, Disaster Recovery and Volunteers, with Maranoa Mayor Cr Wendy Taylor in attendance. The club’s home now sits inside the project it started in 1958.
